To receive a scoped response, identify who you are, the commissioning organisation and project, the precise question or claim, intended use, available material and decision deadline.

- Approximate script or manuscript length, if relevant
- Publication, broadcast or decision deadline
- Commission status: approved, in development or exploratory
- Whether confidentiality or NDA terms are required
TBAR does not normally respond to general requests for information, school or student research, genealogy enquiries, unpaid research proposals, marketing approaches, or submissions that do not identify a defined project and decision-maker.
Do not send confidential files with an initial enquiry. Once a qualified scope has been acknowledged, TBAR will confirm the appropriate route for scripts, treatments and source material. If the form fails, email enquiries@theblackarchiveresearch.com with the same information requested above.
How an engagement works

You provide the project, intended use, existing material, central concern and deadline.

TBAR identifies what can realistically be established, the appropriate source depth and the narrowest useful deliverable.

Written scope and fee
The research question, output, timetable, exclusions, price and confidentiality requirements are agreed before work begins.

Research and verification
Sources are located, classified and compared. Contradictions, gaps, source-lineage problems and weak claims are identified.

Delivery
You receive the agreed audit or dossier with evidence status, source notes, known limitations and clear production-facing findings.

Clarification
Where agreed, one post-delivery clarification meeting or written response is included.
